Greyhounds In Motion
Non-Profit for Sighthound Transportation in Florida
I agree to foster dogs at my own risk and liability. I agree to hold harmless Greyhounds in Motion (GiM) for any physical or bodily harm to myself or any of my family members. I understand that my home and yard may sustain damage. It is my responsibility to always supervise the dog, to prevent physical or bodily harm or damage to property.
I agree to contact GiM immediately if a foster dog is lost. Lost is defined by a dog not being in your physical control. Do not wait to try to find, catch or chase the dog. Do not wait for the dog to return. Contact GiM immediately. The best chance of getting a dog back is with the help of GiM. Please do not be afraid to call. We will work with you to get the dog to safety.
I acknowledge it is my responsibility to report any problems to GiM and seek to resolve those problems. I fully understand dogs in new situations take time to adjust. I will work with GiM to identify solutions to common issues related to foster dogs, including, but not limited to potty training, introductions to other pets, adjusting sleep schedules.
I will keep all identification tags or GPS provided by GiM on the dog at all times. I will not permit the dog outside without a GPS, if one is provided. The GPS will be charged while the dog is secure inside the foster house.
Foster dogs remain the property of GiM during the foster period and GiM will incur any cost for veterinary care or supplies. The foster is responsible for notifying GiM of supply needs providing reasonable time for the supplies to be ordered and shipped. The foster is responsible for notifying GiM immediately is a medical condition become apparent.
GiM will take the dog back at any time during the fostering period at the request of the foster home. I understand GiM will require time to secure transportation and an appropriate location to move the dog. I will return all GiM provided supplies with the foster dog, if I request the dog be removed from my care.
I understand my foster dog belongs to GiM and does not belong to me unless an application is submitted, the application is approved and an adoption contract is completed.
When a foster dog has a new adoptive home, I agree to make arrangements with GiM and the adoptive home to transfer the dog to the adopters care. I will provide the adoptive home GiM provided supplies, if requested.
I understand that foster homes are the most important part of the GiM adoption process and I will hold my head high knowing I am changing lives.
